Located in the prime Perth CDB precinct of Westralia Square, the Westralia Square 2 (WS2) development is a modern 13 level premium commercial office building. Sitting on top of 5 levels of the existing car park, it was determined that a lightweight structural system was the only way forward. The design team settled on a hybrid lightweight structure system consisting of primary steel framing and Cross Laminated Timber floor panels, with a glazed curtain wall envelope. All internal and external building elements are lightweight and achieve the required fire rating via compliant fireproofing.
High-end finishes of polished stone and porcelain, coupled with quality carpeted floor and ceilings, create ambient premium class office spaces. WS2 is serviced by three high speed state of the art passenger lifts and unisex amenities.
Through diligent design input and material considerations the development achieves 5 star Green Star and 5 star NABERS ratings.
