To accommodate the Client’s growing family, we were engaged to assess an existing residential property and determine its suitability for alterations and additions work in lieu of removing the existing residence and replacing with an entirely new structure.

The existing property had significant value and character; upon visiting the home and speaking in detail with the Client, we proposed an approach to extend upwards and to the rear of the property, incorporating the new accommodation needs of the family whilst maintaining the footprint of the existing residence.

This adaptive reuse approach maintained the external play areas for the Client’s children and allowed for a new swimming pool to be created at the rear of the property
