Rockingham Hospital Student Facilities
Tertiary medical students in WA use Rockingham General Hospital for their clinical training and work placement. In addition to gaining experience within the hospital, further training is provided in this purpose-built facility.
The Student Facilities building contains specialist training rooms, modelled on various medical and clinical settings such as hospital beds, general consulting rooms and wet areas. Their facilities also include general learning spaces such as tutorial rooms, reception and break out spaces, kitchen and amenities, and a flexible lecture theatre with retractable tiered seating.
Briefing for the lecture theatre required liaison and consultation with University of WA staff to allow for all requirements including acoustics, audio visual controls, hearing induction loop, smart wiring and lighting control.
