Peninsula Hotel Mandurah

One of the premier waterfront redevelopment sites in Mandurah, Paterson Architects were engaged by the then owners of the site to undertake a feasibility study to determine the optimum best use of the site. The purpose of the study was to enable the sale of the site for others to realise the sites potential.

Working closely with the owners and the City of Mandurah executive and planning teams, master planning studies and conceptual designs were developed for varying options and uses.

With uninterrupted river frontage and access to over a half of the site, and with 360-degree views to the ocean and peel estuary, the focus of the study was to maximise the natural attributes of the site. The works culminated in the concepts illustrated, with the development being a mixed-use development including hotel, tavern festive retail/commercial and up to three multi -residential buildings with up to 90 apartments.
